Hold on to your hats, music fans, because we’ve got some wild news for you! Elon Musk, the mastermind behind Tesla and SpaceX, is planning to build his very own city in the Lone Star State. That’s right, the Wall Street Journal has just revealed that Musk has snapped up a whopping 3,500 acres of land near Austin and is looking to create a “Texas utopia” where his employees can live, work, and play. But here’s where it gets really juicy – Musk has reportedly been consulting with none other than Grimes and Kanye West on his grand vision!
According to the WSJ report, Musk has already begun laying the groundwork for his new town, which he’s nicknamed Snailbrook. The site is situated in Bastrop County, just a stone’s throw from planned SpaceX and Boring Co. facilities, and already boasts some modular homes, a pool, and an outdoor sports area. But Musk has even bigger plans, and that’s where his famous friends come in.
Yep, you read that right – Musk has been seeking input from his ex-girlfriend Grimes and his old pal Kanye West on what his new city should look like. Apparently, the trio has met up several times to discuss ideas and even check out some mock-ups. But don’t get too excited just yet – the WSJ notes that none of these plans have come to fruition, and it’s not clear if Kanye’s recent Twitter controversies have put a damper on their collaboration.
So why the hurry to build Snailbrook? Well, it seems Musk is eager to move fast and keep his plans under wraps. He’s reportedly sought quick approval from local officials and asked the people who sold him the land to sign non-disclosure agreements. And while Musk and his associates haven’t spoken to the WSJ directly, the paper was able to get the inside scoop from local residents and officials who’ve dealt with Musk’s people.
One thing’s for sure – if and when Snailbrook becomes a reality, it’s sure to be a spectacle unlike anything we’ve ever seen. And who knows – maybe Grimes and Kanye will be the ones to make it all happen!
